HipTics.com: Where Hip-Hop Meets Politics

From the Underground Up is now HIPTICS. Hiptics.com!

Dear America,

Hip-hop and politics are two topics that I find intriguing. They also happen to go together like peanut butter and jelly. “From the Underground Up” (the radio show) capitalizes on that chemistry.

The “From the Underground Up” blog has been doing surprisingly well in recent days. Originally created to help spread the word about the WDUB program, the blog has taken a life of its own with the recent posts from an array of contributers.

I felt a domain name purchase was necessary to legitimize our journalistic endeavors. After all, anyone can have a blog. I was brainstorming and thought of a domain name that was not only simple, but relevant to our hip-hop and political content. Hiptics!

Our past posts are still available on the old site, but Hiptics will now be the official go-to for everything hip-hop and political (i.e. the new and improved blog). I encourage you to share our content with friends, family, and anyone else who can read. Expect daily posts from our contributers as they continue to provide unique perspectives on a range of hip-hop and political topics.

Sincerely,

Chris “I have Hiptics tattooed on my lower back” Franco
