Dr. Dre ft. T.I. & Nas – “Topless” MP3 (High Quality)

Dr. Dre lives topless. Listen and you'll understand.

Dr. Dre lives topless. Listen and you'll understand.

Great song! The beat alone makes me want to do cart wheels. I had no idea T.I. was writing verses for Detox, but I’m not complaining. Nas’ verse is pretty unbelievable, too.

Your skin’s your traveling bag of your existence
Yours is shabby and scabbed while mines glistenin’
-Nas’ first two lines on “Topless”

Rappers JAY-Z, NAS, KANYE WEST Perform For OBAMA Inauguration

January 21, 2009 · 5 Comments

Bun B should have been included.

Bun B was not asked to perform.

Obama’s inauguration has provided some publicity for some of hip-hop’s biggest names including Nas, Jay-Z, and Kanye West. I think Chuck D, Ice Cube, and Bun B should have been included. Nas, Jay, and Kanye are all signed to Island Def Jam Recordings. Coincidence? You tell me.

My President Is Black, But Where’s My Lambo?

That looks presidential to me!

That looks presidential to me!

After watching the inauguration, which was amazing, my roomates and I thought it would be ironic to blast “My President” by Young Jeezy and Nas. I can’t really get down to this song until I get the blue Lambo, though.

Maybe Jay can perform that song where he says “Like Che Guevara with bling on – I’m complex.” I’m a fan of Jay’s lyricism, but that’s some “ignorant shit” (name of another Jay-Z song that will not be performed at the Inaguaration). -Cfro

As if you needed another reason to tune in on January 20, Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony is already shaping up to be one of the most star-studded events in Washington D.C.’s history. (more…)

Royce and some white dude

Royce and some white dude

I thought life couldn’t get any better when I heard news that Royce, Joe Budden, Joel Ortiz, and Crooked I formed a super-group called Slaughterhouse. This news is just as good. Royce and Premier are a deadly combination. I can’t wait to hear the first tracks from Street Hop.

The new album will be executive produced by DJ Premier, who provided Royce with “Boom,” the underground hit single from Rock City.

Additional production on Street Hop will come courtesy of Nottz, Green Lantern, Carlos Broady, Ski, Kay Gee, Emile, and of course Premier.

The album will also feature guest appearances by Bun B, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I, to name a few.
